Most corporate films look the same. Same drone shot of the office building, same person in a suit talking about “innovation,” same stock music swelling at the end. You’ve probably sat through a dozen of them and forgotten every single one by the next morning. That’s usually not a budget problem. It’s a script and thinking problem, and it happens more often than businesses in Hyderabad’s fast-growing corporate scene would like to admit.
At iCommunications, we approach corporate films differently, we start with your brand’s actual story instead of pulling from a generic template that gets reused for every client. Our Chief Strategist, Soumyajit Mahapatra, calls it a 720° approach, basically, going further than the usual 360-degree brand strategy everyone talks about. In plain terms: your corporate film doesn’t sit in isolation. It connects to whatever else you’re doing with PR, media, or your brand’s public image. A film shot without that context tends to feel disconnected the moment it’s out in the world, and we’ve seen enough of those to know the difference.
There’s no single formula, but here’s roughly how it goes.
First, we talk. A lot, honestly, before anyone touches a camera. We need to know what the film is for, who's watching it, and what you actually want them to feel or do afterward. Skip this step and you end up with something that looks fine but doesn't land.
Then comes the script and storyboard. This is where a lot of corporate films quietly fall apart, because the script gets treated as an afterthought. We don't do that. Someone actually sits and writes it, thinks about pacing, thinks about what gets said in the first ten seconds versus the last ten.
Production itself is the part people expect, decent cameras, proper lighting, a crew that knows what they're doing. Not much to add there except that we don't cut corners on audio quality, which is the one thing amateur productions almost always get wrong.
And then editing, which takes longer than most clients expect. Colour correction, sound mixing, graphics if the film needs them, and a few rounds of revisions until it actually feels finished instead of "good enough."
Depends entirely on what you need. Some of the more common ones:
Where the film will actually be watched matters more than people think while planning it. A film for your website homepage needs a different length and pace than one meant for an internal training session, and both are different from something built for an investor meeting or a regulatory presentation. We plan around that early, not as an edit-room fix later.
We have also found that after their experiences with other small shoots, clients seek us out. Issues that arise from other small shoots include a good video shoot followed by a demanding post-production process lasting six weeks or a script with no connection to the brand based on an imaginary understanding of the brand. We solve that by having the same individuals involved throughout every video stage. It will always be the same person for your script and for the video, as well as for your final cut.
On budget: bigger isn’t always better. A one-location, two-person interview video does the job for plenty of brands. We won’t push you toward a cinematic multi-city production if it’s not what your goals actually call for. What we won’t skimp on, regardless of scale, is clean audio and a script that’s been properly thought through, those two things alone are usually what separates a film people watch till the end from one they close after fifteen seconds.
From long-standing pharmaceutical and IT firms to emerging startups and consumer brands, the corporate ecosystem of the city offers a variety of stories that play out on the screen. The message of a pharma company’s film is often a scientific message of credibility and trust with the regulator, a message from an IT company is more likely to be one of scale and innovation – but not a generic one – and a message from a consumer brand is more likely to be one of personality and standing out in a crowded market. Your business is not always a corporate video, and we can write the script, tone and pacing around this instead of the same formula over and over.
If you’ve got a story worth telling and you’re tired of corporate videos that feel interchangeable, get in touch. We’ll talk through what you actually need before recommending anything.

Brand story films, promotional videos, training content, investor presentations, and CSR or documentary-style films, depending on what you’re trying to communicate.
Yes, we’ve worked across different industries and adjust the script and tone based on whether the audience needs scientific credibility, technical clarity, or straightforward brand personality.
It depends on scope. A simple promotional video moves faster than a multi-location brand documentary. We’ll give you a realistic timeline once we know what you need.
Everything, scripting, storyboarding, shooting, editing, sound, and graphics. You’re not juggling three different vendors.
